The odds no longer favour a promotion to Women’s Division 2 for Leeds Hammerheads, despite a spirited and dramatic 24-goal Champs 2 weekend in Walsall during which they narrowly lost to Birmingham and snatched a dying seconds victory against Mid-Sussex Marlins.

It all came together for the Hammerheads during eleven glorious minutes in Northampton at the weekend. Sadly, they were the last eleven.

HISTORY-MAKING TOP 5 SLOT FOR SHARKS
Phase 1 of Division 1 ends on a high, with Leeds making history and claiming a place in the Super 5s. The final weekend began well with a strong performance from the team to secure a 13-3 win against the established side of Coventry. Nila Ward powering in 6 goals. The second game against Sheffield saw another convincing win with 10 goals from Nila Ward and 4 goals from Candyce Schroeder.
