2. Clubs Annual Report
In 2024, our Junior and Senior teams achieved significant progress and commendable results, further strengthened by the addition of numerous new athletes who contributed to our success.
Our participation in the Wakefield & District Water Polo League was marked by impressive performances:
- Junior Team (U16s): Secured 5th place, demonstrating determination and growth.
- Senior Men's Team: Achieved 3rd place, matching the points of the 1st-placed team, showcasing exceptional skill and competitiveness.
Looking ahead to 2025, we plan to expand our involvement in the Wakefield League by fielding two junior teams (U14s & U16s) and one senior men's team, aiming for even greater accomplishments.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the committee and coaching team for their unwavering dedication, which has been instrumental in fostering a club environment rich in camaraderie and ambitious sporting goals.
3. Financial Report
The Treasurer provided a verbal financial update, highlighting an improvement in the club's financial position. This positive development has enabled us to cover the cost of G. Peters' Level 2 coaching course and purchase new balls for our teams.
Looking ahead to 2025, Alison is beginning a Level 1 coaching course, with the club covering the fee, further enhancing our coaching resources. However, with the recent increase in pool fees, we will need to monitor its potential impact on the club's finances.
