Match Report | A fantastic opening to the season for both Morley and Leeds under 14 squads, with a nip and tuck score line all the way to the finish. Leeds played a young squad, with only three of the the squad having had any prior match experience. From the outset, Leeds competed excellently forming in both attack and defence in positional play and making incisive drives forward. Luke Pearse the Leeds goalkeeper had an outstanding match, making heroic saves throughout the match, followed by effective feeds to the fast counter attack. Well done to all those that played. The 2017 season will see the Leeds under 14 squad learn and grow with each match experience. The majority of the players in the current squad will have at least two further years in this age group and based on their first performance together, they will become a formidable team. |
